Paco Peregrin

Madrid based photographer, Paco Peregin has worked with internationally known clients, such as Nike, Diesel, Adidas, Mazda, Toyota, Levi's, Cosmopolitan, and EMI Music. He has shot everything from advertisements to magazine features. His work has been published in recognizable publications such as Glamour, Rolling Stone, Neo2, and Flux. Below are some of his portrait work that I found to be interesting. His style is very soft couture with an edge.

Self Portrait

This artist is unknown, although I found a series of their work that all originated from the same basic concept, water reflections. I thought this was an interesting perspective for a self portrait because it strays away from the ever-so-overrated direct frontal shot.

Social Networking in Print Advertisments

Social networking has gone way beyond the internet. You see social networking on everything, whether it is hashtags or pins. Some companies take a more literal approach to incorporating thees networking sites while other companies simply place the logo at the bottom corning as a subconsious aftereffect. Either way, it is an incredibly useful tool to make the company more popular and interactive. Below is a print advertisment I found for Heineken incorporating social networking into its advertising campaign.

Minimalism in Advertising

Cultural Meanings in Advertising

One method to effecting advertising, especially with international companies, is to use cultural sybolism to grab the viewers attention.
